1. Look at the fabric
The first time I chose a sofa, I thought that the fabric was divided into leather and cloth. After careful research, I realized that there are many leathers in leather, and there are many cloths in cloth. Different materials, the quality, sitting feeling, price, etc. are quite different.
①Leather sofa
Including pu leather, microfiber leather, half leather, full leather, etc. Among them, pu leather is the cheapest, with good wear resistance, and it is not easy to embrittle and harden, but the air permeability is average, and the material is similar to the pu we carry. Leather bags, one or two thousand can be bought.
If you want a leather sofa, but you don't have high quality requirements.
Microfiber leather is a higher grade than pu leather, and its texture is closer to genuine leather. The surface has a grained structure, and the base layer is also a three-dimensional mesh layer that imitates genuine leather. The air permeability and wear resistance are higher than pu leather sofas.
To put it bluntly, no matter whether it is pu leather or microfiber leather, the ultimate goal is to imitate the real leather. If the budget is sufficient, it can be directly inserted into the real leather.
But leather is also divided into grades. You can buy it at about 10,000 cheap on the market, and 40,000 to 50,000 expensive. The texture and performance are completely different.
According to the area of the package, there are full leather and semi-leather. The former is the whole sofa including the back, which is leather, while the latter may only be the leather where people touch, and the others are pu or microfiber leather.
Among them, the cortex is also divided into the first layer of leather and the second layer of leather. The first layer of leather is the first layer of cowhide on the cow, with a thin thickness and a more delicate texture. Thicker and rougher to the touch.
In terms of price, the first floor is naturally more expensive than the second floor, and the real is more expensive than the semi-real.
In addition, if you have been to a sofa store in the past two years, you must have heard of NAPPA leather. The sales will say that it is imported from South Korea, and the texture and price are even better.
But in fact, people who know it know that nappa leather is not a general term for leather, but a leather processing process, which is characterized by softness and specific texture, which means that nappa leather is not necessarily genuine leather , and possibly other materials.
So, don't listen to sales cheating when you buy, nappa leather is not equal to real leather, only the nappa leather of the top layer is considered high. .
②Fabric sofa:
The colors and patterns are the most, and they are durable and easy to take care of, and are relatively friendly to families with children.
As far as fabrics are concerned, the most commonly used ones are technical cloth, flannel, cotton and linen, etc.
The difference is also very big. For example, technical cloth is very popular now. It is said that it has both the texture of the cloth and the good care of the leather.
But in fact, the essence of technical cloth is cloth, but it is coated with various materials that imitate leather on its surface, and the craftsmanship is quite different. Therefore, people who buy it have different feedback, and some say that the skin is peeled off. Seriously, some say that it has been fine for a few years, and the evaluations are mixed.
Furthermore, the so-called three-proof (waterproof, anti-fouling and anti-dirty) of technical fabrics is actually not a one-time-for-all. Basically, the effect is very unsatisfactory after a year or two. It is not a high-end fabric after all, but is used for low-end products many.
Flannel sofa has fine fluff on the surface, delicate touch, very high-end, and not afraid of cat scratching, but it is easy to absorb dust, and the fabric will also have a dark side.
If you really like it, it is recommended to choose double-sided flannel, which has a good texture and is more durable.
Cotton and linen blended sofas are relatively cost-effective, dry, thermally conductive, relatively soft, sweat-absorbent, and the cloth surface is detachable, washing in the washing machine will not have any effect, and the durability is higher.
For those with children at home, it is very suitable to use it, and the price is moderate.
2. Look at the filling
The padding of the sofa is very important. Good sitting feeling is comfortable, wrapping feeling is good, and resilience is good. If it is poor, it is difficult to bounce back when sitting down, and it will collapse after a long time.
At present, the sofas on the market are basically filled in the following forms:
①Sponge: Doll cotton and low-density sponge are the main culprits of collapse. If you can’t choose, you can’t choose. It is recommended to choose high-density rebound sponge 45D, which is moderately soft and hard and not easy to collapse;
②The upper filling: latex or down;
A slightly higher-end sofa will not use a full sponge, but a sponge base with a layer of latex or down on top.
Latex has a soft sitting feeling and good air permeability, but there is a big gap between good and bad. If the latex content is low, it is easy to age and slag after a long time. It is best to choose natural latex with a content of more than 80%.
The down material is soft, the deformation is small after long-term use, and it has the effect of ventilation and constant temperature.
3. Look at the bottom
The support of the sponge is mainly the spring at the bottom. Now, the better sofas are all independent springs. Many people are seated, and they will not interfere with others, similar to mattresses.
If you don't choose an independent spring, you also need to choose this form of snake + bandage, not only the snake spring or only the bandage, the support is not enough, it basically collapses and goes out of shape after half a year. Optional.
The back cover is also very important. Don't look at the non-woven fabrics. After a long time, it will be like the picture below, and it will spread directly into slag.
Be sure to use umbrella cloth, which is the kind of umbrella fabric, which has higher durability and anti-corrosion, and can be used for more than ten years without worrying about damage.
4. Look at the frame
If the quality of the frame of the sofa is no problem, it is definitely not afraid to look at it. Many shops will directly remove the wrapped fabric, so that users can see and believing. This is naturally a good judgment.
I am afraid that the frame is tightly wrapped inside, and nothing can be seen. At this time, we must be careful. Could it be the combination of miscellaneous wood, old furniture, or combination of planks and wood? These three generally have poor nail holding power and are easily deformed. It may make abnormal noises after sitting for a long time, and the quality is very worrying.
Therefore, the frame must be made of solid wood. At present, the best one on the market is the northeast or imported larch, which has good stability and long use time.
At the same time, pay attention to the scars on the surface of the wood. The fewer the better, it is best to be smooth on all sides, indicating that the grinding is fine and the manufacturer is more formal.
5. Other issues
①Color
Unless there is a nanny at home, whether it is leather or cloth, light colors are not recommended. The photos look good, but it is basically dirty after going out for a week, so it is not suitable for long-term living.
② Seat height
The seat height of 40-45cm is the normal size. After people sit down, their knees and thighs are on the same level, and they will not feel tired.
Of course, this is not absolute. For example, some sofa seats are deeper, and the height may be shorter. Sitting on it is basically equivalent to the feeling of half lying, and the comfort is also good.
You have to try it yourself to find out which one you like.
③Sofa legs
On the basis of an acceptable shape, choose a sofa with a leg height of 15cm, or a sofa with a frame at the bottom directly touching the ground. The former is hygienic and easy to clean, and the latter has no dead corners.
④The comfort and beauty of the sofa
According to my experience in choosing a sofa, comfort and beauty are really difficult to coexist!
More comfortable: the height of the backrest is more than 55cm, and there is a waistrest, but it is bloated and the appearance is average;
Good-looking ones: such as Japanese-style sofas, tofu block sofas, etc., which are not bulky, but the seat height is limited and the comfort is not good.
Depends on which one you prefer.
⑤Exceptional Italian sofa
For example, the special-shaped sofa, cloud sofa, elephant ear sofa, etc., are not the type of sitting upright. Sitting on it is basically equivalent to half-lying, but the high appearance does not affect its popularity.
Moreover, these Italian original sofas have many adjustable backrest heights and angles, which can have both appearance and comfort, but the price is very high. There are replicas in China, but the adjustable backrest is very good. Less, the technology is not enough.
Written at the end
There are so many kinds of sofas. In addition to grasping the fabrics, fillings, frames and other issues, the most important point is the shape, appearance and comfort. Generally speaking, it is difficult to have both of these three. In the final analysis, you still have to respect yourself. You can see, try, touch, and choose what you like.
Well, I wrote it here today, I hope today at 5 points, it can help you~
